Weekly Pinterest Finds

Several things caught my attention this week on Pinterest so I want to share them with you. Enjoy!

Creaclip! Super easy diy haircut tool. This girl makes me want to buy this product right meow! Its so easy to use, has great reviews and it costs about the same as a normal haircut.

How to Wash Dry-Clean-Only Clothes at Home. This is great, and surprisingly simple. This could save you lots of time and money. Definitely going to try this with my wool jacket.

Bobby pin trick - I had NO idea I was using bobby pins incorrectly. It's true-and I've tried it. It seems a bit tricky but if you play around with it a bit you will find the sweet spot. I used this trick when putting my bangs in a 'poof', held much better than when I use 2.

DIY star...from a cereal box!! I am doing this sometime this week.

Un-shrink your shrunken clothes....say what??! Awesome, I will be doing this with my 4 pairs of pj pants that I've shrunken..hehe.

Until next week, thanks for reading!

Crochet Monster Hood

Halloween is coming, and though I don't celebrate it...I like to dress up and get together with friends. I just think of it as another day I get to dress up. I started a 'routine' last year with my sister where every year on our birthdays we choose a theme and everyone has to dress up accordingly, again another reason to dress up.

This year, I'm dressing up as a monster. I went to Halloween stores to price out what the best deal would be for this 'Leg Avenue' costume. The costume itself is priced at about $80, that being said the leg warmers aren't included. They also sell individual hats and cute monster gloves so I decided to go this route.

Long story short, I wanted to go the cheapest way I could so I decided to save $50 and make my own hat, assemble my own outfit then buy the gloves and leg warmers.

So far i have the basic hood and strings. I still need to add the eyes, teeth & make the horns. So exciting!!

Crochet Monster Slippers

UPDATE: I am currently working on a new and improved pattern for these, thanks for your patience and I will posting it soon soon soon!!

I came across these adorable monster slippers but I couldn't find a pattern for them anywhere! I couldn't even find them on the website (kidindependent.com) that they are linked to...

After searching and searching and failing to find a pattern for these, I decided to take matters into my own hands and attempt to make these myself.

They turned out pretty good and my son absolutely loves them!
